World Environment Day

World Environment Day (WED) is the UN's biggest day for environmental action, celebrated annually on June 5th, serving as a global platform for public outreach and urging governments, businesses, and individuals to protect our planet. Led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), it raises awareness for critical issues like plastic pollution (the 2025 theme), land restoration, and biodiversity, encouraging participation in positive environmental change.
