National Donut Day
National Donut Day is celebrated twice in the U.S.: primarily on the first Friday in June, honoring Salvation Army "Doughnut Lassies" from WWI, and also on November 5, providing a second chance to enjoy treats, with many shops offering free donuts. The June date, established by The Salvation Army, commemorates the women who served donuts to soldiers, boosting morale, while the November date offers another opportunity for celebration, with both days seeing widespread free offers and donut-themed events.
