The New Year is the most exciting holiday of the year. My family and I start preparing a few days before. We decorate the house with colorful lights and hang ornaments on our tree. My mother cooks special dishes, and my father buys sweets and fruits. On New Year’s Eve, we all gather around the table and share our wishes. When the clock strikes twelve, we watch fireworks, hug each other, and say, “Happy New Year!” I always make a wish for happiness, health, and success. For me, New Year means a fresh start and hope for better days.
