Short Poems for Kids ✍️

I love all the twinkly fairy lights
but not the arguments and fights,
I do like turkey and brandy pud
but sometimes it’s hard just being good.
I like the presents under the tree,
just so long as they’re all for me!

I do like Santa and his sleigh
but not in my room, not me, no way!
Don’t like mistletoe or being kissed,
that’s the top of my ‘don’t like’ list!
Do like Christmas cake and cheese
don’t like sprouts, can’t stand peas!

Love Christmas movies, staying up late
chocolates and mince pies on my plate,
don’t like walks or watching the King,
playing charades or having to sing.
My favourite place is behind Dad’s chair
when everyone forgets I’m there.
