Lunar New Year is my favorite holiday because it is full of color, joy, and traditions. People clean their homes before the new year to sweep away bad luck. Families decorate their houses with red lanterns and banners. Children receive red envelopes with money, called “hongbao,” as a symbol of good luck. We eat delicious food like dumplings and rice cakes. Everyone wishes each other happiness and success. I love this celebration because it brings my family together and fills our hearts with joy.
