Memorial Day Traditions
Across the United States, Memorial Day is marked with traditions of remembrance and gratitude. In the morning, parades fill the streets with music, flags, and veterans marching proudly. People wear red poppies as symbols of memory and sacrifice.
Families often visit the graves of loved ones who served, bringing flowers and small American flags. Towns hold moments of silence to reflect on the cost of freedom.
Even though people enjoy barbecues and family gatherings, most still pause to honor those who made this life possible. Memorial Day reminds us that true heroes never die — they live forever in our hearts and in our history.
