Today the stars shine soft and clear,
For those we hold forever dear.
The brave who stood, who did not fall,
In heart and soul — they gave their all.

The drums have ceased, the guns are still,
Yet freedom hums through vale and hill.
Because of them, our children play,
Beneath the sun of a peaceful day.

So let the flag in glory wave,
Above each hero’s quiet grave.
A nation strong, a promise true,
Forever will remember you.
