Author: Groundhog Day

Classical Style — Nature’s Herald

From burrow dark, he makes his way,
To meet the light of winter’s day.
If shadow falls, the cold will stay,
If none appears, then spring holds sway.

Though simple in his modest role,
He marks the cycle, time and soul.
Each year we watch, each year we cheer,
For groundhog’s promise, bright and clear.
