The Flag Above Us All

Beneath the sky of morning blue,
The flag begins to rise,
A quiet whisper in the wind,
A story in the skies.

It carries echoes of the past,
Of battles bravely won,
Of voices fighting for a dream,
Of freedoms never done.

Its stripes recall the courage strong
Of those who dared to stand,
Its stars remind us we are one,
A united, hopeful land.

And so on Flag Day every year,
We honor what we see—
Not cloth alone, but all the hopes
Of those who sought to be free.
