Author:  Labor Day

A Tribute to Workers

On the first Monday in September’s light,
We pause to celebrate a noble fight.
The fight for fair work, safe and just,
A labor of love, a nation’s trust.

Parades march proudly through city streets,
Families gather, music repeats.
Picnics, laughter, fireworks display,
The spirit of Labor Day lights the way.

Yet beyond the joy, we take a glance,
At the hands that give our lives a chance.
Teachers, farmers, doctors, and more,
Each one a hero we deeply adore.
