Labor and Liberty
Labor and liberty forever entwined,
A testament to the hearts and minds.
The workers of yesterday, bold and free,
Fought for rights and dignity.
Today we celebrate with flags held high,
Music and laughter beneath the sky.
But let us not forget the sweat and tears,
The long, hard days across the years.
In every job, in every trade,
Freedom and labor are firmly laid.
So pause this day to honor all,
Who answer the nation’s vital call.
