Author:  Labor Day

The Legacy of Work

Through the years, the story flows,
Of hands that toil and courage shows.
Factories, fields, and offices bright,
All shine under Labor Day light.

The labor movement paved the way,
For fair treatment, work, and pay.
A federal holiday, proud and strong,
Honors workers who belong.

So when the parades are done today,
And fireworks light the sky’s display,
Remember those whose daily grind,
Has shaped the nation for all time.
