He stood before a sea of hope,
With courage shining in his voice,
And spoke of mountains we must climb,
Of freedom being every heart’s true choice.

He dreamed a dream for all mankind,
A world where justice lights the way,
Where skin and color rule no more,
Where peace and fairness win the day.

His footsteps marched through storms of hate,
Yet still he walked the peaceful road,
For Dr. King believed that love
Was strong enough to lift the load.

Today we honor all he gave,
His sacrifice, his steadfast will—
A dream he shared with all the world,
A dream that echoes with us still.
