Carrot Cake Day
Carrot cake is more than sweetness,
It’s comfort wrapped in gentle spice.
It brings back warmth, it brings back neatness,
A taste of childhood, soft and nice.
Outside the winds of February scatter,
The winter chills the fading day,
But one small slice can make it better
And chase the frozen mood away.
The cream is soft, the sugar tender,
Cinnamon glows with cozy light.
This simple cake becomes a sender
Of joy that lifts a quiet night.
And on this National Carrot Cake Day
We gather warmly, side by side,
To cut a slice, to laugh, to say
That simple things are gifts of life.
Let kitchens smell of happy moments,
Let tea be steaming on the shelf —
Carrot cake, our gentle comfort,
Is February’s joy itself.
