A World Turned Inside Out
On Opposite Day the world stands strange,
The rules dissolve, the roles exchange.
Left becomes right, and wrong feels right,
Day wears the clothing of starless night.
We speak in riddles, we walk in dreams,
Reality bends at the crooked seams.
The quiet shouts, the loud grows small,
And heavy things weigh none at all.
Yet in this twisted, shifting play,
We learn new truths along the way.
For only when the norm is gone
Do we see how life keeps moving on.
Opposites show us how we grow—
By seeing what we think we know.
