A Green Prayer

Let forests stand where axes pause,
Let rivers heal from human flaws.
Let skies be blue, not filled with smoke,
Let Earth be more than words we spoke.


May every seed we choose to sow
Become the future’s steady glow.
May we live light upon this land,
As guests who finally understand.


This is our prayer, both soft and strong:
To right the world where it went wrong.
