Independence Day of India
Independence Day is celebrated every year on 15th August to mark India’s freedom from British rule in 1947. This historic day reminds us of the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Subhas Chandra Bose, and many others. Their courage and determination gave us the priceless gift of freedom.
On this day, the Prime Minister hoists the national flag at the Red Fort in Delhi and addresses the nation. Across the country, schools, colleges, and offices organize cultural programs, patriotic songs, and speeches. Independence Day inspires every Indian to love their country and work for its progress.
