A Life Beside You

You came with quiet steps into my days,
No golden crown, no need for praise.
A simple heart, so strong, so true,
A world made warmer just by you.

You learned my moods, my rise and fall,
The silent tears I tried to stall.
When voices failed and hope seemed thin,
Your steady eyes pulled daylight in.

Through changing years and fading light,
You stayed — my constant, calm, and right.
Not just a dog, but part of me,
A living form of loyalty.
