Where Pawprints Stay
Time moves fast, as time will do,
Yet some love doesn’t fade — it’s true.
The years may pass, the house grow still,
But pawprints mark the hallway still.
Not on the floor, but in the soul,
Where moments live and stay made whole.
Your bark, your warmth, your gentle head,
Still walk with me where life has led.
On Dog Day, and on days unknown,
I’m never walking on my own.
For love like yours does not depart —
It learns to live inside the heart.
