We Remember This September
We pause where time stood still that day,
When morning skies turned dark with pain,
When ordinary lives were changed
By loss no words could ever explain.
Through ashes rose a quiet strength,
In helping hands, in hearts so brave,
A nation learned what courage means
From those who chose to help and save.
We speak their names in gentle tones,
We carry stories, old and new,
For though they’re gone, their light remains—
In unity, in what we do.
