Author: Patriot Day

The Silence at Dawn

There is a silence every year,
When bells and memories appear,
When flags stand still against the sky,
And tears return without a cry.
In that calm space, we come to know
How deeply loss can shape a soul,
Yet also how compassion grew
When strangers felt each other’s pain.
Patriot Day reminds us all:
From brokenness, a strength was born—
A promise kept in quiet hearts
To stand together, never torn.
