Why the Smallest Heroes Matter Most
J.R.R. Tolkien’s greatest lesson through hobbits is that heroism is not defined by strength or power. Bilbo and Frodo begin their journeys reluctantly, yet their courage grows through responsibility and compassion. Hobbit Day celebrates this idea—that ordinary individuals, when guided by kindness and perseverance, can change the fate of the world. It reminds us that greatness often emerges from humility.
