Born in sand, raised by the sea,
You guard the blue silently.
Through plastic tides and broken waves,
You swim where ancient instinct braves.

We owe you more than gentle praise,
We owe you cleaner seas and days.
Let Turtle Day remind us all
That nature’s elders must not fall.
