gentle mermaid
has lost her hope
the boat she was guiding
during a storm has sunk
her heart locket
is broken
a new revelation
comes forward
friendship isn’t working
the love affair is over
the ties that are breaking
are dying to
letting go
for only heartache
comes from hanging onbe gentle with yourself,
allows you to feel whateverlet go of your hurts
gather up what remains
ride on in search
of wholeness
for beyond this place
lies new hope
and a fresh startit is over.
