The Wisdom Of Have Not

I think that as I wished to be,
more than a plain paper dream,
I became a paper plane with wings,

and I think that once I fell, again
I became aware of sin.

as a temptation life requires our desire,
in a battle of wills there are but two:
humility. ability.

and I think that to learn one must un-learn,
to forget all the pre-thought-ideas,
and know that faith is not religion,
nor is it choice or preference of belief,
rather it is what you are unwilling to believe.

I think that of all the things,
I should wish to be,
I wish for nothing more
than what I will become
-
of all the moments
I should like to regain,
I wish for none that I should relive again.

I think that no man shall ever say with just cause,
in outspoken words or silent thought,
' I have not vainly lived, but all my life lived in vain'
