Mid Spring

In your lap I find a heaven. Treeless
Yet breezy, in stages I am moved further
Upwards, toward that place we once knew well,
And now revisit, sometimes, with a fervor.
There's no such thing as separation. We can
Believe that, when everything quiets down.
Night, therefore, is no different than the day, than
The moments we're truly equals, when flesh
Behaves like angels; not perfect, not ethereal,
But a combination of atoms, joined like seasons.
