No Camoufalge Here

I watched the news and heard that another Black man was shot to death in the
United States and these words came to me. I wasn't going to share this one
since I'm writing a new book about this sadness but here it is...

No Camoufalge here

To the marsh filled fields
Sinking sand exists
A buzzard observes
Whose next on the list
Wild fruit aged in pain
Hanging loose branches
Wither away again
Hoodless beasts,
arrogant pigs
replace the noose
steel pebbles fire
in groups an army
hit men for hire
deep words, old wounds
from the pits of hell
mark them dark
a genocide dwells.
