Broken promises
Full of empty words
Unkept vows
That cut like swords

Shattered she lies
In a pool of tears
Ruby red shards of heart
In her hands
Cutting her fingers
Making then bleed

He cries at night
When no one sees
Screaming in silent anguish
Needing to hate her
For what she‘s done
Wishing that he could
Turn back time
Or forget
Or die

A pain so intense
Almost eternal
A love destroyed
Doomed to end

In the war of feelings
No one wins
