When the pain is deepest
And cuts like a knife
And the love that was sweetest
Is reduced to strife

When you can’t take it any longer
And you can’t ask for help
When your insecurity gets stronger
And you sit upon the shelf

When your screams get louder
But nobody hears
And your spirit turns prouder
And you hide your tears

When you need someone to understand
But don’t know how to explain
And you want a helping hand
To get you through the pain

When you look all around you
But there’s no one there
And the friends you once knew
Will no longer care

When you hunger for a solution
And more problems come instead
And you wish for a revolution
Or to die upon your bed

When the future seems hopeless
There is no cause to rejoice
And your whole life seems lifeless
And god has lost his voice
