Hazy Humid Mornin’….,
Sweat formin’ ‘bove my brow…,
Ball a’ fire’s beatin’ a heated warnin’….,
Better water the cow….,
Not much shade in these fields….,
So get ready to bake….,
‘Gonna be a long time till sundown…,
Think I'll take a dip in the lake.

Hazy Humid Morning….,
But I’ll get through somehow….,
I ‘preciate if you’d excuse me….,
‘Gotta start workin’ now.
