La Fleur Fatale

Ill Darkness befell the Black Moon orchid,
Toasted umber bedaubs her curled leaf tips,
Coursing arbored veins with a recklessness,
Malignancy deep- as cancered bone and blood.

Comes the rain, Mother Natures sweet elixir;
Remission? Or are the roots forlorn to live?
Miles away, a Surrey Rose bush...lay wilting,
Ravaged hard by petal-blight... and Dieback.

Comes dawn, natures demons smile and dance,
Death has found another genus to infiltrate
Mother Nature sobs bitterly, for herself,
The orchid still believes ther' is a God.

L'orchid estime qu'il y a un Dieu........
