The Bright Green Lights Of A New York Night...
O'er th' waters of Hudson each midnite
Stars o' emerald be seen o'er streetlite
Its necklace of light sweeps down low
To New Yorker's it's just staus quo
Snap-shot for tourists to awe and sigh
For Westsided dweller's to cover their eyes
Cable high-beams invade window drapes
still a fair trade-off for Hudsons nightscape
Starlites o' green, swoop like pearl's 'o jade
God-Kissed...yet architectually man-made
What be these bright images round, sparkled beads
It's New Yorks George Washington Bridge that you see!

Written while parked at the 96th Street Boat
Basin...off the Westside Highway overlooking
the Hudson River, one N.Y. May night, musing.
