A Different Path

Who, in his dreams or musings would have thought
a path, though narrow, through the jungle weaved,
a voice inside kept singing, yes, we ought
set foot among the shrubs where gods are peeved
and where scarce golden rays will warm our skin
reflecting stars of tasty molecules of dew
I am quite happy and I wear my Sunday grin
and I shall keep a million kisses just for you.
