Arc
Came tumbling
in silent grace
a leaf of gold,
and red,
of rust
enclosing
hairlike veins
of fading life
dancing with
melancholy joy.
Its last.
Oh yes,
I know it is from you,
still moist
with kisses
from your lovely lips.
I shall,
for now,
be quite content
to stand with open arms,
awaiting you.
