My Shadow

Today I tried.
Again and again.
To jump over my own shadow.
Each time I jumped
it moved first.
So, I tried leaping.
But my shadow only
leaped ahead of me.
And now we were
doing long jumps.
But it was the headway
that remained
completely
out of reach.
Bugger.
