Padlock Thief

A padlock hung,
so big and stout
down from the shed of Mr. Trout.
It guarded there with all its senses
two rather big Mercedes Benzes.
One day a thief arrived and picked
the padlock, but it never clicked
that he could be the cat's pajamas
without the usual ugly dramas.
Because he was a padlock thief
it brought a certain great relief
to Mister Jeddediah Stock
who had to buy another lock.
